Innovative Enterprise Chennai was founded in 1979 by Kaiser Johar, who moved from Kolkata to Chennai with a straightforward vision: build a steel distribution business grounded in quality, reliability, and the personal relationships that have always defined how the trade works at its best. Starting from Moore Street in Parrys -- Chennai's oldest mercantile district and the historic heart of the city's steel and hardware trade -- Innovative quickly earned a reputation among contractors, fabricators, and project developers across the region. Over four decades later, the founding philosophy has not changed. Today, the company is led by Kaiser's sons -- Shabbir Johar and Abdeali Johar -- who have combined their father's industry knowledge with a more structured, modern approach. The result is a company that still operates with the personal attention of a family business, now backed by serious inventory depth, verified manufacturer relationships, and a logistics capability that reaches across the country. With 500+ tonnes of ready stock held across two Chennai locations -- including our 4,800 sq. ft. warehouse at the CDMA Iron & Steel Market in Sathangadu -- we serve projects from single-site fabrication orders to large multi-state supply contracts.
